Katie studied Fine Art Sculpture at the University of Brighton before going on to be Pathway Leader for 3D Design on the Art and Design Foundation Course at the University for the Creative Arts in Canterbury , Kent. After fourteen years in creative education Katie embarked on a change of direction, retraining to become a complementary therapist. Katie now combines her role as a complementary therapist working from Adfer, her retreat room in Moylgrove, Pembrokeshire, alongside her practice as an artist, working from her studio in a meadow, overlooking the sea.
Katie's art work combines drawing, painting, embroidery, garments, 3d mixed media textiles in order to explore themes of the human condition; vulnerability, safety, protection & home.
Katie's art work is held in private collections and she has exhibited in solo and group shows throughout the UK.
