Katie studied Fine Art Sculpture at the University of Brighton before going on to be Pathway Leader for 3D design on an Art and Design Foundation Course. After a change of career Katie now combines her role as a complementary therapist with her practice as an artist working in her treatment room and studio in Cliftonville, Kent.
Katie's art work combines photography, garments, sculptures, films, objects, products, textiles in order to explore themes of the human condition, our vulnerability as humankind, our need for protection, support and how we defend ourselves against emotional attack. Katie aims to make real the unseen forms that our body needs in order to operate and feel safe as a human being in today's world.
Katie's art work is held in private collections and she has exhibited in solo and group shows throughout the UK.
