Artistic
practice

Katie studied Fine Art Sculpture at the University of Brighton before training to be a secondary school art teacher and a senior lecturer. Katie taught on the Art and Design Foundation Course at the University for the Creative Arts in Canterbury, Kent, managing a design department for fifteen years. Having children prompted a change of career by retraining as a complementary therapist.

Katie now combines her role as a bodyworker practicing from Noddfa alongside her practice as an artist. Her treatments can be seen as an extension of her art practice.

Katie's art work combines bodywork, drawing, painting, embroidery, garments, photography, collage, mixed media in order to explore the body and its inner and outer landscapes.

Katie's art work is held in private collections and she has exhibited in solo and group shows throughout the UK.
