"Margate Goes Po
During August 2006 i took two sets of workshops for Turner Contemporary dealing with the subject matter of Margate and Pop Art. The workshops during the first week were pre booked by young carers from Margate who may not get the opportunity to make art. The second week workshop was for any young people up to the age of 16. After making oversized ice creams to flip flop all influeneced by the pop artist Claes Oldenburg and monoprints inspired by the repeat screen prints of Andy Warhol, the young people displayed their finished pieces in Droit House, Margate, for all of the public to see and admire!
