Sofa So Good, national competition,
The Foyer Gallery, Aberdeen
During July 2006 i won the national competition, Sofa So Good with my performance piece of work, Glue. The exhibition was organised by the charity Instant Neighbour, an organisation which donates furntiture, food parcels, the basic essentials, to people who need it but can not afford such items. The competition attracted artists from all over the country and the sixteen finalisits were invited to show their works of art at the Foyer Gallery in Aberdeen.
As part of the prize I have won the opportunity to exhibit new works in the Foyer Gallery, next July and August in a solo exhibition. I am currently considering what work i will create one idea that i am considering is working with the Instant Neighbour charity to generate a new project, to produce work inspired by the charity and the residents of Aberdeen.
This picture shows the winning piece titled Glue, a video of a private performance, please view my portfolio pages for more details on the piece of work.
